Recherche für historische Romane

Bevor ich einen historischen Roman beginne, muss ich mich natürlich zuerst ausführlich in die jeweilige Zeit und deren Gebräuche, Politik und Kirche einlesen.

Da ich fast ausschließlich über historische Persönlichkeiten schreibe, ist auch die Recherche der einzelnen Lebenswege unabdingbar. Vieles lässt sich heutzutage sehr gut im Internet finden oder in Informationsmaterial an den Schauplätzen vor Ort. Ansonsten greift man auf Sachbücher zurück. Natürlich las ich nicht all diese Bücher zur Gänze, da sie oft einen größeren Zeitraum behandeln als den für mich relevanten. Die meisten dienten eher als Nachschlagewerke.
